LFP vs NMC: Is the Range Trade-Off Worth It?

I keep going back and forth on this. My next EV will be a daily commuter, but I also do a monthly 400-mile round trip to see family. LFP batteries are cheaper, last longer, and can be charged to 100% daily without much degradation. But the cold-weather hit on range is real, and the energy density is lower, so I’d lose about 30-40 miles of EPA range compared to an NMC pack in the same model. Am I overthinking the winter losses? For those who own LFP in colder climates, how much range do you actually see in sub-zero temps? And is the long-term longevity worth the day-to-day range anxiety?
