I keep seeing conflicting info about LFP batteries and charging to 100% daily. Some say it's required for battery health and BMS calibration, others claim it accelerates degradation just like NMC. My new EV has LFP and the manual says charge to 100% weekly, but I'm paranoid about long-term capacity loss. Does anyone have real-world data from higher-mileage LFP cars? Also, is the whole "calendar aging is worse at high SOC" thing actually proven for LFP chemistry? I do 80% of my charging at home on a Level 2, so I can easily set a limit. Just trying to figure out if I'm overthinking this or if there's a genuine best practice.
