Towing with an EV: Real-world range hit or manageable?

I’m seriously considering an EV truck for occasional towing (a small camper, maybe 3,000 lbs), but the range reports are all over the place. Some say you lose 50% or more, others claim it’s fine with careful planning. I get that aerodynamics matter more than weight, but I’m worried about being stranded on a remote highway. For those of you who actually tow regularly—what’s your realistic range drop? Do you rely on the truck’s built-in range estimator, or have you learned to ignore it? Also, any tips for finding chargers that can accommodate a trailer without unhitching? I’m torn between a long-range pack and just accepting more charging stops. Real-world anecdotes would be super helpful before I commit to this.
