Does cutting EV incentives hurt adoption or just save money?

With Germany and the Netherlands slashing or ending purchase bonuses, I'm wondering if we're seeing a natural correction or a policy mistake. On one hand, EVs are becoming price-competitive, and the state shouldn't subsidize early adopters forever. On the other, we're still far behind on charging infrastructure in many regions, and the used market is still building up. If we strip incentives now, won't that push buyers toward cheaper hybrids or even used ICE cars? Also, company-car taxation changes are shifting how many people go electric. Is the EU's 2035 target realistic without consistent national support across member states
