Towing with an EV: Range Drop Reality Check

Just did my first tow with the car – a small 5x4 trailer loaded with garden waste, maybe 300kg total. I knew range would take a hit, but it was worse than I expected. On a 60-mile round trip on A-roads, I used about 95 miles of indicated range. That’s a 35-40% penalty, not the 25% I was hoping for. Air resistance from the open box likely played a big part.
