Winter range drop: what are you actually seeing?

First full winter with my EV and the range hit is bigger than I expected. I'm losing around 25% on my usual commute, even with the heat pump on and pre-conditioning plugged in. I know the chemistry doesn't like cold, but I'm wondering if that's normal or if something's off. Also noticed the tyres need topping up more often with the temperature swings. What are you all getting for winter range loss on your cars? Any tips for squeezing out more miles without freezing? I'm trying to work out if it's worth changing my driving style or if this is just how it is.
