Real-world winter range hit worse than expected?

First full winter with my EV and I knew range would drop, but this is more than I planned for. I’m seeing about 35% less on my usual commute, even with preconditioning and the heated seat instead of cabin heat. It’s not just short trips either – the motorway figure is worse than I expected. I’m wondering if this is normal or if something is off. Also, the tyres seem to be wearing quicker than my old car, which I didn’t account for in running costs. Anybody else noticing the same? How are you managing winter range and tyre wear? Would charging habits help? Interested in others’ real-world numbers.
