Looking at Q2 data, it seems like the depreciation curve on older EVs might be finally flattening. For months we saw horror stories from owners trading in three-year-old cars for pennies, but recent auction numbers suggest a bit of a rebound, at least for models with decent range. Is this just a seasonal blip after the new-model clearances, or are we actually seeing a point where battery replacement fears stop driving prices into the dirt? I am about to lease instead of buying, but if residuals are hitting a more normal level, buying used could be a smarter play.
