LFP battery myths: is the cold-range hit really that bad?

I keep seeing conflicting takes on LFP packs. Some say winter range loss is brutal, others claim it’s barely noticeable with a heat pump. I’m torn between a cheaper LFP model and a pricier NMC one. My commute is short, but I do a 200-mile round trip every other weekend, often in freezing temps. I don’t have a home charger, so I rely on fast charging. Does anyone here daily-drive an LFP EV in a cold climate? How much real-world range do you lose below 20°F, and does preconditioning actually help enough? I’m also curious if frequent DC fast charging hurts LFP longevity more than NMC. Would love to hear real experiences before I drop the cash.
