Just passed 28,000 km on my rear tyres and the tread is already down to about 3mm. I expected some extra wear from the instant torque, but this feels quick. The tyre shop says it's normal for EVs because of the weight and regen, and quoted me a set of EV-specific tyres at a hefty premium over the standard ones.
Curious what others have found. Are you sticking with EV-rated tyres or going for regular ones? Has anyone actually noticed a range drop after switching? Also wondering whether rotating more often (every 8,000 km instead of 10,000) is worth the hassle.
