Does your hands-free system bail on faded lane lines?

Ran a 300 km highway trip last weekend and my car dropped out of hands-free mode four times, every time in construction zones where the old lane paint was still showing through. No warning beyond a chime, and each time I had maybe two seconds to grab the wheel. curious whether others see this. Did an OTA update change how yours behaves in temporary markings? Also wondering if anyone has found a setting that makes the handover less abrupt, or is this just how L2 systems are until we get proper mapping for work
