NEDC to CLTC range converter
A NEDC range figure is about 3 % lower than the same car's CLTC figure. Example: 400 km NEDC is about 410 km CLTC.

Formula: CLTC range = NEDC range × 1.026. The winter estimate assumes about 25 % less than the converted figure.
What are NEDC and CLTC?
NEDC
NEDC was the European standard until 2017. It uses a gentle laboratory cycle at low speeds, so its range figures are typically 15–25 % too optimistic compared with WLTP.
CLTC
CLTC is the Chinese test cycle. It is run at lower average speeds than WLTP, so the same car shows roughly 15–20 % more range. Chinese brands launching in Europe usually publish a WLTP value later; that is the one to compare.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert NEDC to CLTC?
Multiply the NEDC figure by 1.026. For example, 400 km NEDC × 1.026 = 410 km CLTC. This is an average ratio: individual cars can differ by several percent.
Which figure is closest to real-world range?
EPA is the most conservative and usually the closest to mixed everyday driving. In winter, on the motorway or with a heavy load, expect a further 20–30 % less than any of these figures.
Why do the standards give different results?
Each standard uses a different test cycle: speeds, acceleration, temperature and how the lab result is adjusted differ. The car is the same; the yardstick is not.
