This Explorer uses the smaller 58 kWh battery with a 140 kW motor on the rear axle. WLTP range is quoted at 410 to 444 km, with combined consumption of 15.4 to 16.4 kWh/100 km. The Standard Range is the entry drivetrain of the range.
The five-seat SUV keeps the 472-litre boot of the rest of the Explorer line and shares its platform with the Capri. Top speed is 160 km/h, and the Select trim is the base version of the German line-up. DC charging is supported at up to 120 kW, and the cabin uses Ford's SYNC infotainment with a central touchscreen.
